INSIDER developed the full naming and brand positioning for Isca, the private island located off the Amalfi Coast and historically connected to the Italian playwright and actor Eduardo De Filippo. The project involved an in-depth analysis of the island’s identity, its cultural heritage, its natural setting, and the type of audience most aligned with its character.
The goal was to craft a narrative that reflects the true essence of the island: discreet, natural, and deeply authentic. Rather than adopting the conventional language of luxury, the branding embraces silence, slow time, and harmony with the landscape. These elements, together with its artistic legacy, distinguish Isca within the Mediterranean context and give it a unique emotional and cultural depth.
The result is a clear, internationally recognisable naming — Isca Private Island – A Hidden Retreat on the Amalfi Coast — capable of preserving the island’s authenticity while making it understandable and appealing to a global audience. INSIDER defined a complete communication platform: tone of voice, core values, narrative structure and visual direction, ensuring consistency across all future expressions of the brand.
This work sets the foundation for the island’s long-term identity and communication strategy. It will guide the development of the website, editorial materials, promotional content, press narratives and territorial enhancement activities. A branding system designed to endure, respect the truth of the place, and position Isca as a natural, intimate and culturally significant retreat in the heart of the Amalfi Coast.
