Hotel Miramare is a living symbol of the history and transformation of tourism in Positano, with roots that go back to the 1930s. It all began thanks to our ancestor, Carlino Cinque, an enterprising local who, renting a house to the many tourists visiting the beautiful town, dreamed of transforming it into a hotel. He soon realised the enormous potential of this activity and expanded the availability of accommodation, welcoming aristocratic families from Naples and, later, also foreign guests.

During the Second World War, the hotel underwent a significant transformation, being used as a rest facility for Allied officers, an experience that contributed to increasing its international reputation. Over the years, the management passed into the hands of Carlino's nephews, his sister Carmela and brother-in-law Vito, and today the Attanasio brothers, together with their children, continue to carry on the family tradition, welcoming an international clientele with passion and professionalism.

The basic concept of the Hotel Miramare is to offer ‘your home away from home’. From the very beginning, Carlino, with his charm and communication skills, managed to win over tourists and make them loyal customers, learning foreign languages spontaneously in order to be able to converse with guests and make Positano a destination to remember. This original success laid the foundations for the history of the hotel, which stands in one of the most extraordinary locations in the Positano pyramid, opening a fundamental page in the history of local tourism.
