Villa Maria in Ravello represents the perfect fusion of history, art and modernity, offering guests a unique and unforgettable experience. The Palumbo family, who have owned the property for four generations, have been able to pass on the heritage of this residence with passion and dedication since 1934, when their great-grandparents Vincenzo and Orsola laid the foundations of the structure. Today, their great-grandsons Francesco and Giuseppe, thanks to their experience gained in hotels and restaurants abroad, run Villa Maria with youthful enthusiasm, maintaining the love and attention that have always distinguished the family management.

The history of Villa Maria is rich and fascinating: located in an oasis of absolute tranquillity that can only be reached on foot, the villa was once the home of the Roman nobles, the Marchesi De Cinque, and is deeply intertwined with the history of Ravello and the Amalfi coast. The building has the elegant shape of a stately home, without a lift, and over the years has undergone significant renovations to reach its current splendour, without however losing its historical character.

Inside, the halls, staircases and living rooms are distinguished by magnificent marble floors, while the bedrooms and bathrooms boast enchanting majolica tiles hand-painted by the masters of the Vietri School. The furnishings are extremely elegant and reflect a refined mix of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, embellished with splendid Murano glass chandeliers. Every corner of the villa invites visitors to relive the magic of the past, while offering all the comforts of modernity.

Villa Maria has not neglected innovation: the rooms have been renovated to guarantee a comfortable and functional environment, with air conditioning, while the bathrooms allow you to relax thanks to regenerating showers or whirlpool baths. Numerous illustrious guests have chosen to stay here, leaving testimonies of their passage: Among these, Giovanni di Borbone delle Due Sicilie, Benito Mussolini – whose gratitude for the hospitality is still remembered – the sculptor Mastroianni and Alberto Granado, Che Guevara's travelling companion, who wrote admiringly of the beauty of the place and the warm hospitality of its inhabitants.

Villa Maria di Ravello is therefore much more than a hotel: it is an emotional journey through time, where history, culture and comfort blend together to offer an authentic and timeless experience.
